Consensus Jewish Political Enthusiasms Always Catastrophic - For Them Too

Observed on New York’s Upper East Side, November 2023

The weekend of February 28^th/March 1^st when Iran was attacked has been a moment of epiphany for many. No longer can a key geopolitical fact be denied: American foreign policy in the Middle East is controlled by Israel and diaspora Zionist allies.

Many of us have been aware of this for years. However saying it was extremely dangerous, let alone unprofitable.

But this fact being established, an even more crucial question arises: Do the Israelis/Zionist/Jews have good political judgement? Could they be driving us into a disaster?

This is a question concerning strategy and the long term. There is no doubt the Jewish community is extremely effective at achieving its short term objectives.

Emancipation of the Jews was achieved in Europe during the era of the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars (say 1780-1815). Only after that was Jewish community influence in the broad political life of nations a factor. Prior to that influence was exercised directly with monarchs, usually by bribery.

So this gives us only about two centuries in which mass Jewish political involvement can be evaluated. The results are uniformly catastrophic.

• The influence of Karl Marx and his disciples from the mid-19^th Century converted the pre-existing European Left to an obsession with state control of economic activity. Previously this was absent. Prolonged experience of implementing the idea in the 20^th Century eventually resulted in the global realization that it did not work. Hence the bizarre posture of China today: totalitarian in political structure but quite free market in economic life.

This was not the bloodiest of the Jewish misjudgments but it did cause immense opportunity costs for several generations. India, for instance wasted 45 years after independence in 1947 trying to implement the concepts absorbed from their British Labour Party friends, with miserable results. Given the tremendous ability so many Jewish individuals have shown to flourish in free market economies, they and their families too can be considered victims of this intellectual delusion.

• The Russian Revolution and Communist Era. Heavy Jewish involvement in the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution in Russia was recognized early on. However the subject was taboo in the later decades of the USSR. Much less known was the heavy influx of Jews into the governmental apparatus of the Soviet State after 1917. Their entry was assisted by the active discrimination by the Bolsheviks against Russians of ‘Bourgeois’ origin. Yuri Slezkine celebrated this in his flawed book The Jewish Century, citing with apparent pride

Historian Leonard Shapiro’s comment that “anyone who had the misfortune to fall into the hands of the Cheka stood a very good chance of finding himself confronted with and possibly shot by a Jewish investigator.”

In his luminous review essay on the Slezkine book “Stalin’s Willing Executioners” (a phrase coined by Slezkine), Kevin MacDonald asks a key question of these newly empowered Jews:

did their traditional hostility to the leaders of the old regime, and to the peasantry, contribute to the peculiarly ghastly character of the early Soviet era?

Contemplating the 2023-25 Israeli behavior in the Gaza Strip does indeed recall the massively excessive and almost mindless bloodshed which characterized the operations of the Communists in first generation after the Russian Revolution.

Of course, the mania of the murderous Great Terror of the late 1930s killed a great number of these Jewish Communist officials and their families. This could be taken as indicating associating with a regime of such a stripe was unwise. Perhaps more significant, Stalin, who as an ethnic Georgian ruling a heavily Russian state, was very alert to nationalism, reacted very badly to the establishment of Israel in 1948. He immediately suspected dual loyalties. The 1951-3 “Doctors’ Plot” is generally considered to have been heralding more extensive purges of Jews, short circuited by Stalin’s death in March 1953.

But the most surprising part of the bill paid by Russia’s Jews for their utilization of the Russian Revolution was about to be presented. As MacDonald says

After World War II, in a process which remains somewhat obscure, the Russian majority began taking back their country. One method was “massive affirmative action”…Jews became targets of suspicion because of their ethnic status. They were barred from some elite institutions and had their opportunities for advancement limited. Overt anti-Semitism was encouraged by the more covert official variety apparent in the limits on Jewish advancement.

This triggered the Rufusenik agitation in America, where their coreligionists were able to engineer emigration privileges for Russian Jews via such measures as the 1974 Jackson-Vanik Amendment and the Lautenberg Amendment. These commandeered America’s foreign trade relationships and budgetary processes for the purpose. Per Grok, some 70-80% (2.7Mm) of the USSR’s Jews left 1970-2000 of which some 470,000 came directly to America.

Thus the involvement of Russia’s Jews in Russian Communism eventually led to much suffering and danger for them and the eventual near-destruction of their community.

For the Russian people as a whole, it was an unmitigated disaster.

This saga essentially created the American Neoconservative movement with which we are now blessed.

• America’s Suicide by Immigration. At the time that the lethal Hart-Celler Immigration Act was passed in 1965, it was not generally appreciated the extent to which it was the fruit of decades of Jewish agitation. The previous 1924 Act had protected the interests of the Americans already here and this was apparently intolerable. Subsequent scholarship has demonstrated that agitation for more, and more diverse, immigration by Jews is found throughout Europe. This has caused Kevin MacDonald to wonder Is Immigration Really A “Jewish Value”? (He argues they see it as beneficial to themselves.)

I suppose there are still some pre-1965 Americans who do favor the overthrow and replacement of the society White Americans had built prior to the 1965 betrayal. But I fail to see how anyone can pretend that an event like the election of a colored Muslim anti-Zionist like Zohran Mamdani to be Mayor of New York City can be anything but a dire threat for the social and political position of American Jews.

Mamdani was elected because a majority of recent immigrants and non-Whites voted for him. An off-limits but obvious possibility is that the Democratic Party Establishment faces imminent replacement or takeover by leaders with a voting base of coloreds (including Hispanic) and radical leftist Whites (with of course some Jews). Being hostile to Israel will be the lynchpin. The dream of leading a subservient POC coalition against the political preferences of Christian White America is being shattered.

In other words, promoting mass non-White immigration is about to be proven yet another massive Jewish political blunder, damaging themselves not least.

• Promoting “Civil Rights” or the Privileging of Black America.

Jews of course were famously involved in the effort to elevate the social status of America’s Black community at the expense and to the discomfort of White Americans. From its early years the NAACP was strongly influenced by prominent Jews. The Martin Luther King fraud was orchestrated largely by an underwhelmed Jewish Communist Party member, Stanley Levison. And to the alert observer enthusiastic Jewish utilization and leadership of Black grievances continues to be apparent, as Kevin MacDonald observed in 2020: Are These Antifa/ BLM Riots A Jewish Coup?

To an objective observer, the consequence of the “Civil Rights” movement has the ruin of American cities, the destruction of the U.S. public system and the robbing via Affirmative Action of the just professional deserts of myriads of American White men. “Civil Rights” have been a savage blow to White America.

Furthermore this process of despoilation has not run its course. The intimidation and relaxation of policing and the establishment of two-tier principles in a debauched Judiciary is a new harvest coming in.

Generally speaking, the Jewish community has not yet paid much of a price for this achievement. In fact some Jewish realtors profited via the ‘blockbusting’ tactics by which the life savings of many White Blue Collar and Middle Class were destroyed by the integration of their neighborhoods. Jews were usually able to live in areas in which the public schools did not totally collapse. And for some strange reason the burden of Affirmative Action in elite colleges fell on the White men whose ancestors founded them: the Jewish admission rates remained stable. This observation could be generalized.

However combined with the contribution of the POC immigration that they engineered the Jewish community is, as noted, in serious danger of being displaced from leadership of the non-White coalition. And the white-hot intensity of the anti-Black resentment found seething in uncouth areas of the social media is startling. This story has not finished.

• South Africa is a great case study of the consequences of Jewish political influence. I discussed this in Wrong On South Africa—And What Else?

South Africa went through a tremendous economic boom for close to a century, triggered by the discovery of diamond and gold mines from the 1870s. It attracted significant numbers of Jews, mainly from Russia.

Some of these went immediately into leftwing politics and ultimately provided the real leadership to Nelson Mandela’s ANC. But most integrated to an extraordinary degree into the English-speaking community which also ramped up around the same time.

However, they immediately fell into vociferous conflict with the other White community, the Afrikaners, an amalgam of Dutch, German and French immigrants who arrived in the early 1600s and who spoke Afrikaans, a derivative of Dutch.

The Afrikaners believed Blacks were not capable of running or living in a sophisticated European society. South Africa’s ingratiating Jewish community played a crucial part in persuading the Afrikaner leadership to accept the world consensus and surrendering power.

The result of course has been an utter disaster. With the end of segregation, a huge crime explosion ensued. Per Grok the tiny country has 5/10 of the most dangerous cities of the world, which was simply not true under Afrikaner rule. Furthermore an infrastructure once equal to any in the world can no longer reliably supply the capital city with water, to mention only one example of Government service deterioration.

Having achieved their consensus political objectives, South Africa’s Jewish community immediately recognized the consequences – and left. Per Grok, some 50% left 1990-2025. Most remaining are elderly.

So the record of the past two centuries is that consensus Jewish political enthusiasms have a frightful record of bringing destructive chaos on their host societies. In some cases, this has brought much damage to the Jews themselves. I submit the that in the cases of US Immigration policy and “Civil Rights” the story is not finished.

Why do a group in other matters so sagacious keep getting involved in creating such predictable disasters? Probably because their fundamental interest is not really in how the specific proposals play out. Their objective is the expression of what Edward Gibbon [Decline and Fall, chapter 16] called “their implacable hatred to the rest of human-kind”. Undermining the existing power structure and overthrowing the social order wherever they find themselves is a reflexive impulse.

So in this light how do we evaluate the current Middle Eastern mess?

The Israelis apparently wants Iran reduced to a lobotomized invalid. But they are also taking actions in Lebanon and the West Bank apparently aimed at eradicating Arab social structures there.

The ambition seems to be to create an enormous counterscarp which will prevent opposition to Israel being organized in adjacent areas, surrounded by a glacis of disorganized and military impotent states.

With blind American obedience, perhaps this can be achieved. But for how long? Keeping the surrounding swathe of ruined states ruined will take constant policing, for which Israel itself does not have the manpower. And of course the Muslim world will be in unprecedented state of rage. This will be a tremendous open-ended commitment.

Ultimately the policy problem is rooted in Israel’s objective of 100% security. No possible enemies can be allowed to survive. This relates to the true motive of Jewish political action identified above: utterly destroying perceived rivals rather than wise management.

Because of Israel’s intelligent border wall policy and other actions, incursions across the border and even bother within Israel had become very rare. The major exception, the October 7 attack, was a glaring anomaly. Even at the time, numerous Israelis were puzzled how such a lapse in vigilance could have happened. Many have noted that the immediate effect was to rescue the Netanyahu Government from a desperate domestic political crisis. Probably afterwards Israel would have returned to the previous security level, which most countries would have tolerated. But the bloody revenge in Gaza was not enough: the Gulf has had to be set ablaze.

Ilan Pappe’s underestimated book Lobbying For Zionism On Both Sides Of The Atlantic is primarily concerned to document the corruption by which Zionism has succeeded in subverting the main political parties in both America and the U.K. But it does make the interesting assertion that British officials in WW1 were duped into issuing the 1917 Balfour Declaration by Zionists exaggerating their strength among American Jewry. In reality, the most important Jewish institution, the American Jewish Committee

embodied the American Jewish community’s indifference, and even hostility, toward Zionism…The Union of American Hebrew Congregations argued ‘America is our Zion’.

[Pp 106-7] Besides sincerely feeling this way, the Grandees of American Jewry feared the perception of dual loyalties would be dangerously damaging to their people. After a century it may turn out that they were right.

In October 2024 Ron Unz was moved by Israel’s mass murder in Lebanon of some 500 people by booby-trapped pagers into posting his powerful The Total Madness of the State of Israel. This recounted the many bloody escapades Israel has perpetrated. Unz announced that recent events had inclined him to change his mind and take more seriously the thesis of the 1991 book The Samson Option by Seymour Hersh. Hersh alleged that the Israelis at that time planned a nuclear strike on Russia. Unz went on:

many agitated commenters across the Internet have often claimed that Israeli embassies all around the world probably contain nuclear weapons that could be detonated in a crisis, thereby destroying the capital cities of every major country, and I’d always dismissed such notions… I’m now not so sure about that.

Unz summarized with admirable phlegm:

Under normal circumstances, countries whose leaders publicly proclaim their intent to conquer all of their neighbors, exterminate millions of civilians whom they regard as hostile, and perhaps eventually use their nuclear arsenal to destroy all of Europe’s cities would surely be viewed with tremendous international concern.

In short, intoxicated by their apparent control of America, the Israelis have embarked on a gargantuan geopolitical transformation of their neighborhood. In the longer run their ambition is excessive and it will fail.

It will also cause an enormous backlash that their hubris prevents them from anticipating.
